Working only to earn money was yesterday. Today, working to find personal fulfilment is the more important goal. How would it be if you could go to work every day and feel a real sense of accomplishment? What if your job fulfilled you completely, and even made you really happy? That’s exactly what happens when you align your personal life goals the “big five” with your work, just like Simret Welde, Product Manager at Traxpay.
Why do you work at Traxpay?
I was in search of a new challenge where I could apply my skills gained over the last 20 years working in Finance and just by magic Traxpay found me and I haven’t looked back since. Plus, Traxpay also fitted one of my top requirements, it needed to be within 5 km from home so that I can incorporate my daily walks.
Does your job make you really happy?
Absolutely, it offers me many new and exciting areas of responsibilities, while at the same time my accounting experience and structured approach to project management is a huge advantage. I love the contact to customers; it gives me huge pride to deliver solutions to the obstacles faced in supply chain financing.
Which of the Traxpay products are you responsible for?
Here at Traxpay, we have the advantage of being hands-on to all products, our team is small enough to share the responsibilities. I am involved in Dynamic Discounting, Digital Forfaiting, Reverse Factoring, Digital Guarantees, Factoring, the Sustainability Feature as well as the user manual documentation.
What is at the top of your agenda?
Listening to the customer, understanding the issue faced by the customers and working together within the team to provide tailor-made solutions. We have a solution for each issue and can provide individual support. We take pride and great care in order to meet all the demands of our customers.
What would you do differently in your professional life today?
I’m a strong believer in staying flexible through learning. Although I worked for a very long time in finance and acquired many transferable skills, moving to the role of a Product Manager at a Fintech Company came at the right time. Since starting at Traxpay, I have also managed to gain very useful QA testing experience, which has been very useful to get knowledge of the product. Last but not least I would not change anything.
